THE PROJECT OF CHÂTEAU MAGDELEINE BOUHOU
Organic certification of the Château
Since I took over my father’s wine estate in 2004, I have been aware of the great potential of our terroir and I have been striving towards authentic expression of this terroir. I have instigated many changes in both the cellar and the vineyard. All of these efforts allow us to be ready for our conversion to organic viticulture. I believe this will allow our terroir to blossom.
Conversion to organic viticulture has been anticipated
We have been farming according to organic principles for the past few seasons. This crowdfunding campaign will allow us to officially start the estate certification beginning with the 2019 season.
Funds collected will be used to purchase vineyard equipment, specifically a spraying system which will allow us to apply organic preparations more accurately, hence reducing the amount of product used.
This project is part of a broader investment scheme which will finance the overall conversion to organic agriculture.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
The WineFunding concept is simple and innovative:
You lend Château Magdeleine Bouhou between 110€ to 400€ to finance their project.
Château Magdeleine Bouhou will reimburse you with bottles of wine delivered straight to your door over the course of 3 years. 3, 6 or 12 bottles each year depending upon the plan you choose.
CHOOSE YOUR PLAN
You may choose one or more of the following plans. Each plan is reimbursed over the course of 3 years.
Château Magdeleine Bouhou is pleased to offer you a discovery selection of their cuvees: “Grand Vin”, “Cuvée Boha” and “La Petite Madeleine” or exclusively the “Grand Vin”. The choice is yours.
Your first wine delivery will be at the beginning of 2019. The second delivery at the beginning of 2020 and the third delivery at the beginning of 2021. 3 deliveries in total.
You can also choose to give any of the Château Magdeleine Bouhou plans as a gift. Simply specify the name and delivery address at the time of payment. We do personalized gifts as well! Please send us an email at info@winefunding.com for more information.
If you would like to discover the 3 cuvees of Château Magdeleine Bouhou (“Grand Vin”, “Cuvee Boha” and “La Petite Madeleine”) you may select from the following 3 plans to receive either 3, 6 or 12 bottles each year.
As a WineFunder you benefit from a discount of 26€, 63€ or 136€ off of retail price depending upon the plan you have chosen. This is calculated using the retail price and the normal cost of shipping.
Grand Vin
If you would like to receive exclusively the “Château Magdeleine Bouhou Grand Vin” you may select one of the following 3 plans to receive either 3, 6 or 12 bottles each year.
As a WineFunder you benefit from a discount of 36€, 83€ or 176€ off of retail price depending upon the plan you have chosen. This is calculated using the retail price and the normal cost of shipping.
Oenological Cruises
You can also choose to enjoy an Oenological Cruise. Each package is for one person so simply book the appropriate number of cruises for the number of people you wish to attend.
There are two options:
- A dinner cruise along the banks of the Gironde.
- A return day cruise to Blaye & Bourg with a winemaker’s lunch in Bourg-sur-Gironde.
Dinner / Cruise Bordeaux for 1 Person:
Dinner (excluding drinks) along the banks of the Gironde with views of the UNESCO heritage city of Bordeaux. 50€
Cruise to Blaye & Bourg for 1 Person:
Speed boat transportation with on board wine tastings. Winemakers Lunch at Côtes de Bourg Wine Bar and visit UNESCO Citadel Vauban. 100€
