CHÂTEAU MONTPLAISIR AND ITS PROJECT
A new wine estate on a land with great potential
Château MontPlaisir is my dream come true to become a winemaker and produce my own premium organic wines.
After a career in the Energy Engineering Field and a course in Viticulture and Oenology in Dijon, I launched my project in 2014 with the support of my children and friends.
The first step was to select a terroir with high potential. The Vinsobres plateau with its highest point at 500m above sea level, pebble-rolled soils and a ventilated climate, seemed ideal.
Spread over 10 hectares in total, the Montplaisir vineyard is fully certified Organic Farming and present a beautiful diversity of soils that I aim to express in my wines.
Development of wine tourism at Château MontPlaisir
A superb property of the XVII century, the Château is peacefully located at the top of a hill and surrounded by vineyards.
Several luxury guest rooms and an apartment have been created in the Château. We welcome visitors and groups to this beautiful space.
Opposite the château, we have built an underground gravity cellar, equipped with concrete tanks where we make our wines. We mature the wine in large 500 liters oak barrels to get a lighter impact of oak on wine and keep fruitiness and freshness.
We would like to develop the reception area of this building and include a large tasting room and meeting room as well as a wine shop, overlooking the vineyards and foothills of the Massif Central.
This equipment is part of a global strategy to develop our wine tourism offer.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED ?
The WineFunding concept is simple and innovative:

You lend money to Château Montplaisir to finance their project
The Château reimburses you every year in EUROS and pays you interest with bottles delivered straight to your door.
In this innovative formula, the winemaker immediately has the necessary funds for his project. On your side, after 4 years, you will recover your investment and you will receive every year your interests in wine. In addition, you neutralize inflation and avoid the natural rise in prices.
Your principal is gradually paid back at the end of each 12-month period (starting in July 2020), but your interest is shipped at the beginning of each 12-month period (from the end of the campaign) so that you are enjoying it as soon as possible!
