A winemaker, a volcano and an iconic cru
I am Elena Fucci. 20 years ago, I changed my life plans to build my winery and honor the heritage of 6 hectares of old vines passed down through generations of my family.
Following enology studies in Pisa, I built the winery according to ecological principles with the objective of producing one great cru : Titolo, made 100% from the Aglianico grape.
Here, high on the slopes of the Vulture volcano in Basilicata, Italy, a unique terroir and minute care given to our vines lend our wine great character and capacity to evolve for decades.
Recognized by many awards, our greatest pride is Titolo’s highly distinctive profile that reflects this special corner of our beloved region of Basilicata.
Pursuing excellence with new amphorae and oak barrels
Aglianico is famous for its large tannic structure. My objective is to make the most elegant wine possible with modern approaches that respects our unique terroir.
In 2017, we vinified a small quantity of our wine in a terracotta amphora. Bottled in a limited series, I found this new technique had an exciting effect on the wine’s texture and aromatic profile.
Thanks to you, I plan to extend my range of amphorae and oak barrels to lengthen and refine the ageing process for the Titolo cru.
