THE PROJECT
While chatting to one of my partners, I was offered the opportunity to buy one pièce of grapes (this unit of measurement used in Burgundy corresponds to 228 liters or one Burgundy barrel) of Corton Grand Cru from the illustrious Les Renardes plot and one pièce of Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne white grape. I will vinify a barrel of each in 2018 for the first time.
I will follow the plots from the beginning of the season (May) all the way to harvest, making sure that my instructions are followed to the letter. Organic and bio-dynamic viticulture, respecting the soil, as little insecticide and herbicide possible, and a restricted use of fungicides.
This once in a lifetime opportunity to vinify some of the best Grands Crus grapes is a dream come true for anybody who comes to Burgundy to make wine.
For this dream to come to life in the glass, I need to raise 20,000€ to buy the grapes.
